The AA has released a yellow paper to help fleets plan for the future.
The report examines how road quality, sustainability and emerging technologies will impact businesses in the future and outlines how fleets can proactively prepare for the roads of tomorrow.
The report, called “Our Future Mobility: Managing Risk on the Roads”, explores everything from autonomous vehicles, smart roads and clean air zones to EV adoption, charging infrastructure and climate-resistant road planning.
Edmund King, the AA president, said: “We’re committed to creating a future where our roads are safer, smarter, and more sustainable. From advocating for transparency in fuel prices to pushing for better pothole funding, we champion the needs of drivers every step of the way.”
He continued: “This yellow paper is a call to action for policymakers, businesses, and communities to join forces in managing risk on our roads and shaping the future of mobility in the UK.”
The report is one of three produced by the AA to help businesses manage risks. Previous papers have explored human behaviour, asset management, operational efficiency and cost-savings.
Speaking about the yellow paper, Director of AA Business Services, James Starling, said: “Our yellow paper highlights the importance of proactivity, agility, and collaboration in road risk management.”
He concluded: “Whether through driver training, innovative accident management solutions, or lobbying for infrastructure improvements, The AA is proud to lead the way in supporting drivers and businesses as they navigate today’s challenges and prepare for tomorrow’s opportunities.”
