According to training provider, TTC Group, e-learning for driver training has increased by 74% year-on-year.
Over 54,000 hours were logged in 2024 for driving training courses, including training hours towards the Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
End-to-end risk management solutions are crucial for fleets on tight budgets. This comprehensive approach covers every stage of operation, helping businesses to achieve cost savings, reduce time off the road, and lower accident rates.
The data showed that companies adopting e-learning options included small businesses with fewer than a hundred vehicles and large organisations with thousands of vehicles, as well as blended and grey fleets.
Group sales director at TTC Group, Rich Hickin, said: “It is great to see the range of companies choosing e-driver training. Whether fleet car, commercial fleet or grey fleet drivers, those who drive for work are often under time pressure.”
He continued: “More employers are choosing to implement online risk assessments to identify targeted driver training requirements, so importantly, drivers are able to access vital e-learning modules, easily incorporating them into their daily schedules. With the ease and accessibility of driver risk assessment, targeted e-learning, and feedback into driver profiles, it is also reassuring to witness more companies committing to ongoing driver training, rather than piecemeal.”
He finished: “This growing commitment to driver safety and reducing road risk can only be applauded.”
The TTC Group offer courses on everything from Hazard Awareness and Defensive Road Positioning to Smart Motorways and Speed Management.
